Dramaturg
I served as the Dramaturg and Literary Manager of San Diego Asian American Repertory Theatre, working on new play development. She has also trained as a dramaturg on productions at Northwestern University and San Diego State University, most notably on a production of Hotel Cassiopeia, by Charles Mee, directed by Peter Cirino at SDSU. Lauren's research on artist, Joseph Cornell played an important role in layering additional historical artifacts into the performance. She even co-wrote a song for the performance with lyrics developed from an understanding of Joseph Cornell's obsessions and anxieties.

Scholar Consultant
Bringing my expertise in sound studies, I served as a consultant with Living Room Playmakers for the hybrid audio tour/theatrical production, Artifacts.

Most recently, I worked as a consultant for the new audio guide for the upcoming RACE exhibit at the Museum of Us in San Diego.
