Dramaturg
I served as the Dramaturg and Literary Manager of San Diego Asian American Repertory Theatre, working on new play development. She has also trained as a dramaturg on productions at Northwestern University and San Diego State University, most notably on a production of Hotel Cassiopeia, by Charles Mee, directed by Peter Cirino at SDSU. Lauren's research on artist, Joseph Cornell played a important role in layering additional historical artifacts into the performance. She even co-wrote a song for the performance with lyrics developed from and understanding of Joseph Cornell's obsessions and anxieties. Scholar Consultant Bringing my expertise in sound studies, I served as a consultant with Living Room Playmakers for the hybrid audio tour/theatrical production, Artifacts. Most recently, I worked as a consultant for the new audio guide for the upcoming RACE exhibit at the Museum of Us in San Diego. Artist I am a creator of ototheatrical works that provide binaural recordings to mobile audients to augment everyday realities. I instruct students in recording, editing, and dramaturgical techniques. |
