I am an interdisciplinary scholar, artist, teacher, and user experience researcher. I teach in the English and Interdisciplinary Studies in Liberal Arts Departments at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

I earned my Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Theatre and Drama at Northwestern University. My dissertation named a form of performance I call ototheatre that employs mobile sound technology to give audience members agency to activate and enact performances. I have published re in Performance Research and in multiple edited collections. I am currently working on developing the Audio Description Lab at Cal Poly.
