I am an interdisciplinary scholar, artist, teacher, and user experience researcher. I teach in the Interdisciplinary Studies in Liberal Arts Department at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and work as a Subject Matter Expert at Outlier.  

I earned my Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Theatre and Drama at Northwestern University. My dissertation named a form of performance I call ototheatre that employs mobile sound technology to give audience members agency to activate and enact performances. I recently published an article on ototheatre in Performance Research. I am currently working on a new article on telephone performance during the COVID-19 pandemic. I am also working on other projects about using theatre training in non-theatre classrooms. I have presented parts of this larger project: "Dramaturging the Mystic Mathematical" at the ASTR conference; and "Embody a Scholar" at the Bucknall Teaching Conference.
